affirmation that I am on the right path...

Just wanted to let you know that Makenna and I both had a great experience last week partaking in the provincial festival together. It was such a gift to be able to share the experience and it inspired and motivated both of us.

Makenna ended up getting runner up in her category and I came in 1st in mine. It was a much needed affirmation that I am on the right path. 

Thank you again for facilitating this experience for both of us. My gratitude is endless.

"I actually had to wipe my eyes as I left because I was overcome with emotion at your performance"


My mother was also endowed with a magnificent voice and when I heard you sing, I got chills up and down my spine. When mothers were singing lullabys to their children at bedtime, my brothers and I were serenaded with arias.  She studied with Lily Pons and a few others and even sang professionally for a time. When she stepped down to have a family, we were her audience, and how fortunate we were for that experience.

I lost my mother on the 14th of July, in 2004 and whenever I hear certain arias, I fall apart.  This evening was one of those times.

You have a magnificent voice. The texture and tone of it is hauntingly wonderful! Seeing  you ever so slightly lift your chin to allow a clear air passage from your diaphragm to be ready for the beautiful 'Ah! mio sogno! Ah! mia vita!' (which you sang without taking a breath between those lines, Brava!) reminded me so much of my mother. But this was you and I was honoured to have sat in the same room as you and to have heard those very sounds emanating from you.
